Ironwood Electronics has released new package converter PC-QFN16A/BGA16C-01. The converter allows to connect IC in QFN packages to the PCB boards, developed for BGA packages. The converter is specially adapted for connecting of the multifunctional logic circuits NBSG86A with 16 contacts.

The converter represents a small high-temperature PCB with ball contacts on the bottom side. The chip in the QFN package is soldered to the top side of the adapter. The converter is easily set on the target PCB by the flux and reflow method.

Total height of the converter is less than 1 mm. When QFN device is soldered on the top side of adapter, the total height is 1.95 mm.
