Vectron International has released the highly-reliable oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) OX-249 designed for space use. Its advantage is that high performance is provided in a compact housing with a footprint, typical for temperature-compensated oscillators.
Main features:
- frequency range: 10…120 MHz
- output: sinewave, ACMOS
- frequency stability: ±100 ppb (-40/85 ºC)
- aging (50…80 MHz): ±400 ppb/first year, after 7 days of operation
- phase noise for sinewave (80 MHz): -105 dBc/Hz (10 Hz), -132 dBc/Hz (100 Hz), -162 dBc/Hz (10 кHz)
- Allan deviation: 8 × 10-12 (1 second)
- G-sensitivity: 0.5 ppb/g
- power consumption: 3.8 W (warm-up), 1.5 W (steady state)
- supply voltage: 5 V
- package size: 20.3 × 35.3 × 9.5 mm, leads 6.4 mm
- mass: 13.4 grams
The new generator is intended for use in electronic equipment in space satellites for civil and military purposes, as well as in the equipment of spacecrafts for deep space exploration.
